Being for the 1st batch of M.Sc. (Ag.Stat.), I recall memories of then IARS under the guidance of Dr. V.G Panse as SA. Dr. G.R Seth as S.A., B.V. Sukhatme as Professor and Dr. M.N. Das as Proffessor and now I see it under the able guidance of Dr. Rajender Parsad as Director, IASRI. So much advanced from the time of facit machine (in 1964) to now PC’s on each desk loptop with all students and faculty doing many fold work in fraction of timeframe and with much less staff. IT is great to see so much advancement. My background of Design of Experiments is now nowhere with the current advances on most required experimental situations. In sample survey I fill less progress, but small area statistic is highly appreciated So sorry to feel Dr. Hukum Chandra missing whom Ivisited at UNSIAP for small area statistics knowledge. I am so glad to wish all success to the Director, Rajender Parsad and his devoted team.
